I've been reading articles on the BBC and Yahoo news these days just to keep up with the world. Unfortunately a lot of the time it's some missing child that's died or that someone was murdered. Not a lot of good comes from it, but I keep reading anyway with some sort of hope.

Most recently I read an article saying that a six man canoe had capsized with two adults and four children in it. I read the article realising that two kids had died and two survived a long with an adult. The other adult is at the moment missing. Now after reading this sad article I went down to find something else to read and started reading the comments on this story.

They were horribly judgmental, calling the two adults idiots and selfish for saving themselves and not the children. Another said that he hoped the missing adult would die because he wasn't worthy of life for not putting his children in life jackets. All I can think is that 'They don't know the situation!' they only know what the news tells you, which might be some of the story but not all.

uk.news.yahoo.com/canoe-traged… <-- That's the article in question. I might be overthinking it but still... What are your thoughts?

unfortunately Nemo, this is how people are now thanks to the wonderful tool that is the Internet. People can say horrible, nasty things with little to no consequences for their actions. It amazes me how there are still decent human beings in this world when you see stuff like this
